Legal & Disclaimer

1. General

MyQRLWallet is free, open-source, self-custody software provided by DigitalGuards. It lets you generate keys on your own device, view balances, sign transactions locally and broadcast them to the QRL network. DigitalGuards does not hold or control your keys or funds and charges no fee. This page is a convenience summary. The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy at qrlwallet.com govern and control in case of any conflict.

2. No Financial Advice

MyQRLWallet is solely intended for storing, sending, and receiving QRL and QRL-based assets. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. Users should conduct their own research and seek professional advice if necessary before making any cryptocurrency transactions.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DigitalGuards is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, MyQRLWallet. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loss of private keys, seed phrases, or passwords.
  • Malware, hacks, phishing, unauthorized access, or other cyberattacks.
  • Errors in the software, network, or underlying blockchain protocol.
  • Incorrect entry of wallet addresses, transaction details, or smart contract interactions.
  • Technical failures, including app crashes, network downtime, or connectivity issues.
  • Actions taken by third parties, including exchanges, node operators, or blockchain validators.
  • Changes in blockchain protocols, forks, testnet resets, regulatory restrictions, or unforeseen system failures.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or conscious recklessness, or under applicable product liability law. Our full liability terms are set out in section 7 of the Terms of Use, which control.

4. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for securing their wallets, private keys, and seed phrases. DigitalGuards never has access to private keys and cannot recover lost accounts.

5. Test Network

QRL 2.0 is currently a public test network. Testnet balances carry no real-world value, and the network may be reset at any time, which erases all testnet accounts, balances, and tokens. Do not treat testnet assets as a store of value.

6. Third-Party Services and APIs

MyQRLWallet may integrate with third-party services, such as explorers, nodes, or APIs. DigitalGuards is not responsible for the operation, reliability, or security of these external services.

7. Modifications and Updates

DigitalGuards reserves the right to modify the application at any time, including features, compatibility, and security measures. Users should install updates promptly.

8. Legal Restrictions

The use of MyQRLWallet is subject to local laws and regulations. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with their country's legal requirements.
