Set up the mobile app
MyQRLWallet brings your QRL 2.0 wallet to your phone with camera scanning and Device Login. Use this guide to set up an account, save its recovery phrase, and try transfers with test Quanta.
Install the app
- On Android, open MyQRLWallet on Google Play. Check that the developer is DigitalGuards, then install the app.
- Open MyQRLWallet and wait for the wallet to connect to the private QRL 2.0 test network (Testnet v3).
The iPhone app is in App Store review and is coming to the App Store.
Create a wallet
- Tap Create a new account. Set and confirm the wallet backup password shown in the form.
- Choose and confirm a Transaction PIN of 4 to 6 digits. Keep this wallet PIN available for transactions and Device Login setup.
- Tap Create account. Keep the recovery screen open until you have completed your backup.
Back up your recovery phrase
- Write down all recovery words in their displayed order. Check the spelling and order carefully.
- Store the written phrase somewhere safe and offline. Keep it separate from your phone so you can recover the wallet if the phone is lost.
- Finish the recovery screen and acknowledge the backup prompts only after you have saved and checked the phrase.
Keep your recovery phrase private. Anyone with the words can control the account. Never share them with support, a faucet, or a dApp. Store your written backup somewhere safe and offline.
Import an existing wallet
- Tap Import an existing account on the start screen.
- Choose Import with Mnemonic and enter the recovery words in order. You can also use Import Encrypted Wallet with your backup file and its password, or Import with Hex Seed.
- Complete the import and the Transaction PIN prompt. Keep your original recovery backup safe.
- Check the restored Q address before receiving funds.
Enable Device Login
- Open Settings in the app. Under Security, enable Device Login if your phone supports it.
- Enter your wallet PIN when prompted, then complete the phone's authentication prompt.
- Use your phone's fingerprint, face recognition, or screen lock when the app asks you to unlock.
On supported iPhones, Device Login supports Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. These options depend on your phone's security settings. Keep your wallet PIN and recovery phrase available.
Get test Quanta from the faucet
- Open your account and select Receive. Copy the full address, which starts with Q.
- Open the ZondScan faucet. Paste your address, check it against the wallet, and submit a request. Complete any verification shown on the page.
- Wait for the transaction to appear in the explorer and for your wallet balance to update. Follow any retry or waiting instructions the faucet displays.
The faucet supplies test Quanta for this QRL 2.0 test network. Test funds have no monetary value. See ZondScan's faucet guide for more detail.
Receive Quanta
- Select the account you want to receive into, then open Receive. Share its Q address or the address QR code with the sender.
- Ask the sender to use the same QRL 2.0 test network. Check your balance and history after the transaction confirms.
Your public address is safe to share for receiving funds. Keep your recovery phrase private.
Send Quanta
- Open your funded account and tap Send. Paste the recipient's Q address, or use the camera scan control to scan their address QR code. Allow camera access if requested.
- Enter the amount in Quanta and leave enough for the network fee.
- Check the full recipient address, amount, and fee on the send screen. Enter your wallet PIN if the app asks for it.
- Tap Send Quanta and wait for the result. Save the transaction hash to follow its status.
Check the destination after pasting or scanning it. Read any confirmation screen before approving a transaction.
View transaction history
- Return to your account and select History. Check the incoming and outgoing transactions for that account.
- Use a transaction's explorer link, or paste its transaction hash into ZondScan, to check its status and details.
If a transfer is still pending, check its status before sending again. Learn how to read the result in ZondScan's transaction guide.
Lock and unlock the app
- Leave MyQRLWallet or switch to another app. The wallet locks when it goes into the background.
- Return to MyQRLWallet and complete Device Login if you enabled it. Use your wallet PIN when requested.
- Check the selected account before continuing.
The saved wallet stays on your phone between visits. Your recovery phrase is the backup you need if the phone is lost, the app is removed, or its data is cleared.
Keep exploring
Try connecting a dApp, explore swaps, or read the staking guide. The explorer guide helps you follow activity on the network.
