Set up the web wallet
Use qrlwallet.com to create a wallet in your browser, restore an account, and send or receive Quanta. This guide uses the private QRL 2.0 test network (Testnet v3). Have a safe place ready for your recovery phrase before you begin.
Create a wallet
- Open qrlwallet.com and check the address in your browser. Wait for the wallet to connect to the test network.
- Select Create a new account. Set and confirm a strong Wallet Password. This password protects the encrypted wallet backup file.
- Set and confirm a Transaction PIN of 4 to 6 digits. You use this PIN to authorize transactions during your browser session.
- Select Create account. Keep the recovery screen open while you complete the backup steps below.
Back up your recovery phrase
- Write down every word of the mnemonic recovery phrase in the order shown. Check the spelling and order against the screen.
- Select Download Encrypted Wallet File for an additional backup. Save the file safely and keep its password available.
- Check that your written phrase and backup file are stored safely. Select Done and acknowledge the backup warning to open the account.
Keep your recovery phrase private. Anyone with the words can control the account. Never share them with support, a faucet, or a dApp. Store your written backup somewhere safe and offline.
Import an existing wallet
- On the start screen, select Import an existing account.
- Choose the tab for your backup: Import with Mnemonic, Import Encrypted Wallet, or Import with Hex Seed.
- Enter your recovery words in order, select your wallet file and enter its password, or enter your hex seed. Submit the import form once the fields are complete.
- Follow the Transaction PIN setup prompt. Check that the restored Q address matches the account you intended to import.
Enter recovery information only in the wallet you intend to use. See ZondScan's wallet and backup guide for more detail.
Get test Quanta from the faucet
- Open your account and select Receive. Copy the full address, which starts with Q.
- Open the ZondScan faucet. Paste your address, check it against the wallet, and submit a request. Complete any verification shown on the page.
- Wait for the transaction to appear in the explorer and for your wallet balance to update. Follow any retry or waiting instructions the faucet displays.
The faucet supplies test Quanta for this QRL 2.0 test network. Test funds have no monetary value. See ZondScan's faucet guide for more detail.
Receive Quanta
- Select the account you want to receive into, then open Receive. Share its Q address or the address QR code with the sender.
- Ask the sender to use the same QRL 2.0 test network. Check your balance and history after the transaction confirms.
Your public address is safe to share for receiving funds. Keep your recovery phrase private.
Send Quanta
- Select your funded account and open Send.
- Paste the recipient's full Q address and enter an amount, such as 10 Quanta. Keep enough Quanta available for the network fee.
- Check the full recipient address, amount, and estimated fee on the send screen. Enter your Transaction PIN.
- Select Send Quanta when the details are correct. Wait for the result and keep the transaction hash so you can check it in the explorer.
Check the pasted address against the address supplied by the recipient before authorizing the transfer.
View transaction history
- Return to your account and select History. Check the incoming and outgoing transactions for that account.
- Use a transaction's explorer link, or paste its transaction hash into ZondScan, to check its status and details.
If a transfer is still pending, check its status before sending again. Learn how to read the result in ZondScan's transaction guide.
End a session and return
Logout removes the encrypted wallet data saved in this browser. The inactivity timeout also clears the session. Keep your recovery backup ready before ending a session.
- Select Logout when you finish using the web wallet.
- When you return, select Import an existing account and restore it with your recovery phrase or wallet file.
- Set the requested Transaction PIN again. During an active session, the PIN unlocks signing when you send a transaction.
You can adjust the inactivity timeout in Settings. Your recovery phrase or wallet file lets you return to the same on-chain account.
Keep exploring
Try connecting a dApp, explore swaps, or read the staking guide. The explorer guide helps you follow activity on the network.
